Agios Lavrentios is a village in the Regional Unit of Magnesia. It is built on the southern slopes of Pelion at an altitude of 600 m and at a distance of 19 km east of it, between the villages of Drakia and Agios Georgios. Near the village flows the stream Vrychonas.

The village maintains its traditional architecture with many churches, mansions, squares, fountains and cobbled streets (cobbled streets). Apart from the Monastery of Agios Lavrentios, the visitor can admire the chapel of Panagia Souravlou (dedicated to Zoodocho Pigi), Agios Athanasios (1777) and Agios Dimitrios (1730) in the main square.

Every year in St. Lawrence, many religious festivals are organized. In June, the women of the village organize the Cherry Festival. Also from 2006, towards the end of August and the beginning of September, the cycle of musical events “Music Village” is organized in Agios Lavrentios.

On June 1 important events are organized on the feast of St. Lawrence and on July 20 on the feast of the prophet Elijah.
