Chania of Pelion is a mountainous settlement in the prefecture of Magnesia. They are built at an altitude of 1,190 meters on the slopes of Pelion and are the most mountainous settlement in the prefecture of Magnesia. They are located on the provincial road Volos-Zagora, at a distance of 26 km from Volos. The village got its name from the old inns, which hosted those who traveled to the area.

Today, next to the village, in the location of Agriolefkes, operates one of the most beautiful ski resorts in Greece. Ski lovers descend the slopes with the icy trees, gazing at the Pagasitikos on their left and the Aegean on their right.

In Chania you will find several accommodations, restaurants, taverns and cafes. Don’t forget to try the bean soup and the traditional sponge cake!
